Dec 09 Whiteman to reveal the fate of webOS in all-hands meeting

It was buzzed few months ago that Hewlett Packard (HP) is eyeing to shut down its webOS and continue with its PC division. These rumors about webOS appeared just 49 days after the webOS powered TouchPad was released. Since then HP was looking for the highest bidder to acquire its operating system but the high price decided by company keep the suitors away from it. Till then a big question is rattling in minds, what will be the fate of webOS? HP CEO Meg Whitman affirmed a decision about the fated mobile operating system within three to four weeks. It’s been a month now and we are hoping to get this answer at the all-hands meeting for the webOS Global Business Unit scheduled today. The HP CEO Meg Whitman, who wants to take the right decision rather than fast decision, was seen giving positive statements about the OS.
