Oct 26 Sprint faces lesser loss than normal in Q3 earnings

Sprint Nextel has just come up with its statistics during the third quarter of 2011. The company manages to grab the 1.3 million net new wireless subscribers which is the best in more than five years but the company still misses 44,000 subs. Sprint didn’t succeed to gain much money from users this quarter but its loss has reduced from $911 million to $301 million, which was recorded one year ago. Postpaid ARPU of Sprint has raise by $1 successively and $3 year-over-year, which is the best improvement seen in 12 years of the company’s history. Dan Hesse, Sprint CEO was of the view that “Sprint’s focus on creating the best customer experience with simple, unlimited plans and innovative products and services continues to strengthen our brand and drive positive results. We are adding to our customer base, our ARPU is increasing, and as a result our wireless revenues are growing.”
