Nokia and Bing Maps jointly announced unified map design
The collaboration of Microsoft and Nokia is once again spotted on the horizon as Microsoft’s Bing Maps team and Nokia announced a unified maps design for online maps experiences of both the partners. Designers of the Bing Maps along with the professionals of Nokia Maps and the Windows Phone are hard at work to fuse all map elements including better contrast, colors, and typography.

Where Nokia Maps is destined to taste Bing’s more simplified style (to enhance visibility of places on the map and readability) the Bing Maps too will be getting a big push to the map coverage data from Nokia and NavTeq.
If you are enticed to use it, the new map design is available for desktop and mobile versions of Bing and Nokia Maps, but both are going to use the Nokia Pure font and will have an advanced systems to determine the relevant places seen on each zoom level of a map area.
