AT&T Nokia Lumia 900 “Akron, Ohio GPS issue” fixed
AT&T Nokia Lumia 900 owners are facing some issues while using their GPS application like Maps, Local Scout, Foursquare (for checkins) or Yelp. The bug shows their location as Akron, Ohio even when they are not there.

The Akron, Ohio GPS bug is creating huge troubles for Lumia 900 customers who use maps while traveling; it shows wrong place whenever they want to see the location. In short every application that needs location can not be used. The bug is not reported to hit all Lumia 900 devices on AT&T but it is bothering some customers a lot.
The Lumia 900 GPS issue was lit up in Nokia support forums and is now acknowledged by the Finnish giant. The company has addressed the issue with a fix and has advised the customers to restart their phones to see the fix. Nokia also clarifies that the issue has occurred not because of the Lumia 900 but it has arisen due to AT&T’s LTE towers. Some Android users on AT&T are also reporting the same problem. Here is what Nokia has to say “Nokia is aware of the issue and it has been addressed, but users may need to restart their phones to see the fix take effect.” Moreover, this does not seem to be a Lumia 900 issue per se but rather related to AT&T’s LTE towers. Evidently some Android users have had this problem too.”
So if you too are experiencing GPS issue on your AT&T Nokia Lumia 900, then check out the fix and let us know does it addresses your problem.
