Jul 04 App Review: Talking Ted for Android, iPhone and iPad

Apps keep coming to store so it is difficult to choose one for review, we have picked Talking Ted today from the hordes lying in market. If you think there is some connection between Talking Tom Cat 2 or Talking Pierre the Parrot and Talking Ted, better correct yourself they are different apps from two different developers.

Talking Ted is developed by NBC Universal, Inc for the promotion of Ted, the first motion picture from Seeth MacFarlane, creator family guy. The story of movie is about John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg), an elder man who has to deal with his childhood wish, a cherished teddy bear that is not willing to leave him at any cost. The movie and app features a cute teddy bear called ted which can be controlled in the way you want.

Talking Ted works exactly like other animated apps, there are some icons displayed at your screen which can be tapped to let Ted talk or perform actions. You can tap on different actions that will make Ted smoke, drink beer, say sentences like “I love you”, “Can you e-mail me?” The most interesting part of Talking Ted is that you can make a funny video featuring Ted performing hilarious actions. You can record video by tapping icon at the upper left corner, save recording to your camera roll and share the hilarious videos with your friends and family on Twitter and Facebook, via e-mail, or upload it to YouTube.

Talking Ted would have been better if Ted repeats or mimic everything that is said in front of it just like Talking Tom Cat 2. The app needs some fixes and it is getting mix response from users, some are happy and find it fun while others started to get bore after few minutes.
