The famous developer Pod2g unwrap a pleasant surprise for the jailbreak community with his untethered jailbreak developed for iOS5 and iOS 5.0.1. This release has created some confusion. It is speculated that this untethered jailbreak will work only on the old iPods as this jailbreak was shown on iPod Touch running on the iOS 5. So to submerge all these misunderstanding, the developer turned to his blog.

Pod2g has tried this jailbreak on iPhone 4S embedded d with A5 chip and is still trying hard to release a jailbreak for his iPhone 4S and iPad fans.

The developer has posted a video on his blog which portrays an untethered jailbreak on iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1. This demo video is targeted to all this who think that this jailbreak is not effective on other devices and is confined to work only on the Apple’s old devices. The hacker also avowed that his jailbreak is “near ready for prime time” but it is not for iPad 2 or iPhone 4S. He mentioned that the wait is almost over as you’ll only need to wait some more days.
