Like every Apple device iPhone 4S was among the most anticipated device of 2011, just like the iPhone 5 is today. Apple fans are still loyal to their beloved brand, but the arrival of Galaxy S3 has put a dampener on many hopes who were expecting it to be an easy-to-beat device. Samsung Galaxy S3 hit new records of success. Now what say you, which flagship is better? If you are having any difficulty in answering the question have a look at the comparison we have listed below.

galaxy s3 vs. iphone 4s

Display

iPhone 4S features Retina Display small in size when compared to Galaxy S3. iPhone 4S has a screen size of 3.5 inches  while the GS3 boasts 4.8 inches Super AMOLED HD display of 1,280 x 720 resolution. The iPhone S has a lower resolution of 960 x 640 with a higher pixel density of 3330ppi as compared to 306ppi on Galaxy S3. The pixel density doesn’t make any significant difference.

Processor

Samsung flagship is powered by 1.4GHz quad core processors which is much more powerful than dual cores running 800MHz found in Apple’s A5 chip. GS3 has Mali-400/MP4 GPU which beats the PowerVR SGX543MP2 in A5.

Cameras

Both phones feature 8MP rear cameras capable of HD video shooting while they differ in front facing snappers. The iPhone 4S has VGA camera while the S3 has 1.9 MP front facing shooter.

Storage and Memory

Both smartphones come with 1GB of RAM but they have different internal storage capacity, they also features 64GB of internal memory (maximum storage) which is expandable up to 128 GB on Samsung Galaxy S3 while the there is no additional storage option on iPhone 4S.

Battery

The iPhone 4S has a promising 1432mAh battery that was designed to offer 200 hours of standby and 8 hours of talktime on 3G but unfortunately it didn’t happen. On the other hand Samsung Galaxy S3 runs on a whooping 2,100 mAH battery because of its bigger display and bunch of cores.

Now who do you think should win? If you are planning to pony up your bucks on any one of the aforementioned device then go for Samsung Galaxy S3, its worth investing or wait for iPhone 5 launch which is expected in September.
