iOS 5.1 beta 3 fixes Corona untethered jailbreak
The war that continues between the Apple and jailbreak community is not different than the tussle between Tom and Jerry, each trying to tease other with new and startling tactics. After months of hard work the famous hacker, pod2g could release iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak for all A4 devices but Apple hit the jailbreak solution hard and seeded a new update iOS 5.1 beta 3 (for developers) which fixed all the exploits used by the jailbreak.
This untethered jailbreak was based on the “Corona” attack, an anagram for the “racoon” system process it takes benefit of. When the device is booted with a malformed configuration, a file is transferred to racoon, this can manipulate the device OS to run unsigned code. As you reach this step, a separate exploit patches the kernel to jailbreak the phone.

This update released by Apple brings a bad news, the developers like Nadeem Ateyeh and others tweeted that the Corona exploit is no longer possible in iOS 5.1 beta 3.
So the iOS users are advised to update their devices to iOS 5.0.1 ASAP (before Apple stop signing it) because the only untethered jailbreak solution available for A4 devices, works on iOS 5.0.1.
