Goodbye 2011: Thanks for the lovely gifts

Every ending year makes us look back at what we have achieved. 2012 is just a dawn far from now, let us set up a stage of flashbacks to remember the gifts of gadgets brought by this year.

iPhone 4S- The name says it all

What to say about, it doesn’t need any introduction. After the curiosity of nearly year, Apple finally revealed the iPhone 4S in October which experienced the best handset launch in history. Although the design looks much alike the iPhone 4, the device awestruck the fans with its new voice-activated assistant called Siri, an enhanced camera and new dual-core processor.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus was the first ever smartphone to debut with the Android 4.0 (Google’s brand new operating system), NFC-support and a big 4.65-inch AMOLED screen.

The whopping Galaxy Nexus is packed with dual-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A9 CPU, TI OMAP 4460 chipset, 1GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, a 5-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video capture, and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

The smartphone brings lots of excitement with Android Beam, Face Unlock, Google Wallet and various other new Android features with its rocking OS.

Kindle Fire, the remarkable device was added to tablet market by Internet retailer Amazon in the end of September. The online retail giant comes out of the realms of its traditional e-readers and produced the first multimedia device running on the customized version of customized Android OS. The Fire troubled the tablet giants and brings evolution in the tablet industry with its budget oriented $199 price and competent hardware.

iPad 2- Dramatically thin device

The second generation iPad was announced in San Francisco in March 2011.  The iPad is designed dramatically thin with front and rear-facing cameras for video and a much fast processor. The device which is available in black and white flavors began its outstanding sales with the price of $499. The more expensive iPad 2 later emergedin November embellished with precious stones. The Samsung Galaxy S2 gets an overwhelming response runs with 1.2GHz dual-core power, gorgeous screen, super-slim chassis and feather-light innards. The device is crazily light weighted and boasts at 4.3 inches display, 8-megapixel camera with flash and can record HD video in 1080 pixels. The phone running on Android 2.3.3 has got the front-facing 2-megapixel camera for video chat.
