Feb 06 Sony Ericsson Xperia Active Billabong Edition launched

Time to get a refresh- Sony Ericsson has shown it by its gesture as it brought a special Edition of Sony Ericsson Xperia Active referred as Xperia Active Billabong Edition. The new handset is a fruit of SE and Billabong merger- an Australian brand which promotes boardsports like surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding and wakeboarding.

The Billabong Edition is packed with Billabong screensavers, videos, Billabong LIVE app and above all, a unique back panel. The new handset is dust and water resistant like Xperia Active and comes with 3 inch HVGA display, single core processor clocked at 1GHz, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of onboard memory, 5MP rear camera with 720p video shooting, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, GPS, barometer, compass, flashlight. The smartphone runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but it will join the elite club of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in March or April. There are no details about pricing but we have got wind that the  Xperia Active Billabong Edition is now on sale in some markets- Australia and New Zealand possibly.
