Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket vs. Motorola Droid RAZR

Comparison is always healthy as it knocks our mind and helps us choose a better thing. So we have compared two Android smartphones, the thinnest of all, RAZR and the Samsungs’ Galaxy S2 Skyrocket. They possess similarities as well as dissimilarities in terms of features and specs. Have a look.
Size and Display: The Skyrocket is 130.5 grams in weight and has a dimension of 129.8 x 68.8 x 9.5 mm while the Droid Razr is about 130.7 x 68.9 x 7.1 mm in dimensions and weighs 127 grams. It has a smaller screen of 4.3-inches and is paired with Super AMOLED touch screen with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels and about 256 ppi pixel density. While the Skyrocket is designed with Super AMOLED Plus screen of 4.5-inches and a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and about 207 ppi pixel density.
Processor: The Droid Razr is packed with 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU, PowerVR SGX540 GPU, TI OMAP 4460 chipset with 1GB RAM. While 1GB RAM and a 1.5 GHz Scorpion dual-core processor, Adreno 220 GPU, Qualcomm APQ8060 Snapdragon chipset are found under the hood of Skyrocket.
Camera and Storage:
Both the smartphones are designed with an equally cometpent 8 megapixel camera with LED flash. The camera is eligible to record HD videos in 1080 pixel resolution. The Skyrocket has also got the front facing camera of about 2 megapixels for video calling while the Razr has got a smaller camera of 1.3 megapixels. The internal memory of the Skyrocket is about 16GB while the MicroSD card expands its storage up to 32GB. On the other hand Droid Razr has got internal storage of about16 GB of internal storage which can be extended up to 32GB through microSD card.
Operating System:
The smartphone doesn’t differ in the Operating System. Both are powered by the Android Gingerbread platform and is expected to update with Ice Cream Sandwich in the New Year.

Battery:
A 1780mAh battery is rested inside the Razr which offers 205 hours of standby time and 12.5 hours talk time. While to compete well with the Razr battery the manufacturer has placed a standard Li-ion 1850 mAh battery inside the Skyrocket which provides nearly 7 hours of talk time and approx 256 hours of standby time.
Pricing: The Skyrocket is much cheaper than the Razr. It cost nearly $149.99 with a two-year AT&T contract while the Razr is available for $299.99 with a two year contract from Verizon.
