Lenovo announces S2 Smartphone and IdeaPad S2 10 Tablet

The CES 2012 is still at a distance of one day (from official commencement) but festivities have already kicked off. Lenovo has eagerly announced a pair of Androids products, a smartphone S2 and a tablet, IdeaPad S2 10.

Talking about smartphone, the S2 is driven by1.4GHz single-core processor, 3.8-inch WVGA display, eight-megapixel camera, either 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage or 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. A 1,500mAh battery is rested inside its attractive body and it comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread plus a “unique Kernel-level security system to protect personal data, prevent phishing, and control network and SMS traffic”.

Coming to tablet, as the name IdeaPad S2 10 suggests is packed with 10.1-inch screen which is IPS and of 1280 x 800 resolutions, 1.5GHz dual-core qualcomm processor, five-megapixel main shooter-1.3-megapixel webcam combo, microUSB, microSD, MicroHDMI ports and a support  for both 3G and WiFi connectivity. The tablet has got a light keyboard dock that is claimed to deliver an incredible 20 hours of battery life and above all it will be pepped up with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

Both the Android flagships S2 smartphone and the IdeaPad S2 10 tablet are available in China immediately but we have received no official words about its prices and availability worldwide.
