Jun 08 How to force Android 4.0.4 update to Verizon Motorola XOOM

Verizon has started to disseminate Android 4.0.4 update for its Motorola XOOM owners but unfortunately some owners have to wait more for the software  update as compared to others. Cheers for those who have tasted the cool refresh (iMM76L), while others who are waiting for it can join the ICS party by grabbing the update forcefully.

All you have to do is to

1. Go to Settings/Apps/All on your XOOM
2. Look for Google Services Framework
3. Once you are there, force stop the application and press “Clear data”
4. Come back to Settings and navigate to About phone/System update
5. Press “Check now.”

The method was used to pull Android 4.0.4 update on Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus and is said to work on Motorola XOOM as well. Eager beavers, check it out and let us know does the trick work for your device.
