Apr 16 GPS dongle for Asus Transformer Prime appears in image

You must know, your Asus Transformer Prime friends are bothered by GPS issue since long and Asus was said to deliver a GPS dongle to fix that. Now some pictures have emerged which are claimed to be the Transformer Prime with the dongle plugged in at the top of the unit. Have a look.

The Asus representative was about the view that this GPS Dongle “looks similar to the hinge from the dock. Where it will be a flush fit on the bottom of the unit if held in landscape matching the color of your Prime chassis”. Just notice the pictures, the Asus representative and a XDA forum member who claimed it to be “very minimalistic, just like the part of Prime” seems true, right?

We also told you that Asus hasn’t made any official statement about the Dongle, but the manufacturer is expected to pour some sweet  official words about it late today and will disseminate the dongle for free. For those who are out of the loop, Asus Transformer Prime is having issues in GPS functionality due to its metallic body, later it sent out a software update in January which brings no improvement and now it is planning to release ad-on hardware (GPS dongle) to fix it. Those who have tested the dongle are quite happy with its performance.
