Google branded Asus Nexus 7: Price and specs leak out
Google I/O is about to kick off in San Francisco but beefy details about Google’s very own Nexus 7 is out now—thanks to Gizmodo Australia who has gotten their mitts over a tablet which is claimed to be Nexus 7. The Google’s Nexus tablet will be manufactured by Asus, it is set to contend with Amazon Kindle Fire, and boast 7 inches screen.

What else? Well we have gotten fully-fledged spec sheet of Asus Nexus 7. The mid-range Nexus tablet is speculated to sport 7-inch IPS Display with a resolution of 1280×800. Quad-Core Tegra 3 CPU clocking at 1.3GHz, NVIDIA GPU and Android Jelly Bean will work together to boost the budget friendly tablet. There is no confirmation about Android version number, it is yet to be seen whether Android Jelly Beans refers to Android 4.1 or Android 5.0.
Asus Nexus 7 will feature 1gigabyte of RAM and 8GB / 16GB of Internal Storage. In order to compete with Kindle Fire’s price, Google has skipped some of the important features. Nexus 7 will be a WiFi only tablet that is assigned 1.2MP front camera, NFC and a battery that lasts up to 8 hours. The tablet is expected to hit the shelves in July, 8GB model may come with $199 price tag while the 16GB variant will be priced at $249.
These rumors are legit or not, only time will tell. Are you happy with this specification list, if not what features can make Nexus 7 an ideal budget Android tablet, any suggestions?
