U.S. fans of Galaxy Nexus are waiting eagerly for the device to flaunt at Verizon but the Wireless carrier still wants the customers to wait more. The Galaxy Nexus which was rumored to appear on 8th December can appear a day later than expected, on 9th December, as leaked by an internal document.

The equipment guide is enclosed with details of Verizon handsets and its employees and clearly hints that the devices will be available on all Verizon retail channels. This arises with another bad news that Galaxy Nexus will lack payment option to perform financial functions.  Reports stated that Google Wallet will be missing from Galaxy Nexus. A Google envoy was of the view that “Verizon asked us not to include this functionality in the product.”

The Wireless refuses to give much information about this decision and said that it barred Google Wallet “for the best security and user experience.” Verizon has assured its customers to commence the alternate service of Google Wallet next year. The service is dubbed as Isis and will be released in collaboration with AT&T, the No. 2 carrier and Deutsche Telekom’s T-Mobile USA unit, the No. 4 carriers which is enmeshed in a $39 billion merger blocked by the U.S. Justice Department.

The company has plans to use near-field communications (NFC) chip to interact with Google Wallet but this chip can perform the same functions with Isis.

After the prolonged wait and controversies, the Nexus is about to emerge on Verizon surface in a day or two. Just check out the local store or order your device online.
