DROID 2 4.5.621 OTA Update is out
Verizon has peppered yet another update for the Motorola DROID 2, the update carries nothing special, just a minor refresh. It’s build 4.5.621 and is almost similar to the refresh appeared for R2-D2 version of the phone last month.

If you have rooted device, kiss it goodbye, the update brings Google Security Patch” which will break the root. The OTA update will come with some bug fixes,it will address the bug that turns on the phone without any interaction from the user and one that replicates thumbnails in message threads. You will be able to save purchased ringtones after the update, to use them whenever you want.
If the 14MB OTA update has not reached your handset then look for it manually, go to Settings -> About Phone -> System Updates.
