Jan 25 ASUS to release Transformer Prime unlock tool in February

Do you remember ASUS promise to deliver an unlock tool for its Transformer Prime tablet? Good if your answer is yes, because the manufacturer is destined to keep its words and unlock the quad-core Transformer Prime in February. This information is fed through company’s Twitter account.

The company’s complain box was jammed as users from the dev community were prohibited to install custom versions of Android operating system on their device, because of the slate’s locked bootloader and those who dare to step forward will have to proceed at risk of their warranty.

Asus is prepping for some modifications in the model and is planning to deliver a tool to update Prime according to user’s will.

While the Asus Eee Pad Transformer will be updated to Android Ice Cream Sandwich in the mid of next month. Right decision at right time as the world waits for the Apple iPad 3, anticipated to pop up in March. Asus Transformer Prime users, wait for few more days to install and enjoy custom software on your device.
