Aug 07 Android 4.0.4 ICS update available for Toshiba Thrive 10

If you own Toshiba’s 10 inches Thrive tablet, then get ready to upgrade your Android OS. The Japan based company has announced Ice Cream Sandwich update for Thrive 10 that will kick up the Android to version 4.0.4 and brings vast improvement in tablet’s performance.

The new update will kick up your software version from 3.2.1.31.5.0003 to 4.0.4.01.000072314 and brings enhancement in camera, signal strength and connectivity, and audio and video functions. The Android 4.0.4 update will reach your device automatically, but if you want to check it out manually then go to your Thrive’s “Service Station” app, check for updates, and act upon the instructions. Or you can download the update by tapping on Toshiba Service Station app message.

The Android 4.0.4 update will take about 30 minutes to download; you will be unable to use the tablet during installation. Toshiba recommends you to switch off your 10 inches Thrive tablet after the installation is complete. You can power on the tablet later and use it in normal manner.
