Apr 26 1.4GHz Exynos 4 Quad-core confirmed for next Galaxy phone

Tired of all the Galaxy S3 rumors? Now don’t hold your breath as Samsung has confirmed at least one feature of the next Galaxy phone; the super star in Samsung’s galaxy will sport 1.4GHz Exynos 4 Quad (Exynos 4412, Quad-core, A9), the processor is “scheduled to be first-adopted into Samsung’s next Galaxy smartphone that will officially be announced in May.”

So the confirmation has materialized all the rumors pointing towards 4412 processor inside the imminent phone. For starters, Samsung Exynos 4412 is built with Samsung’s 32nm High-k Metal Gate low-power process technology, for an enhancement in processing capability using 20% less power than the Exynos 4 Dual. The GPU Mali 400 used on the Exynos 4 Dual remains the same but the clock speed is boosted up to 400MHz from 266MHz. The U.S variant of the next galaxy phone will ship with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 due to LTE radio which is not compatible with Exynos 4 Quad core.
